Dear Uncle Joe; & family;
    We received your letters about A.J. being killed in action, he died for a worthy cause, to make & keep a home for our children. In our hearts he will always be a hero. It seems sometime life is cruel & full of sad dissapointments, & we have nothing to live for and don't care to live any longer. But we just have to bear up and make the best of life, for that's the way our loved ones thats gone would have it be.
   S.T. spent Xmas with us, but left today it was sure hard to see him go. He says our time is coming, if I get it so I get it, thats the way its meant to be. May God bless you & yours. Love & Luck
